I think that what you said was actually very reasonable. But, what about this? what if you were to write a awesome headline? I am not saying your content is not good, but what if you added a post title to maybe grab a person's attention? I mean New Thread in General questions on Parenting Plans is kinda boring. You should glance at Yahoo's front page and note how they create news titles to grab viewers interested. You might add a related video or a related pic or two to grab people excited about what you've got to say. In my opinion, it could make your website a little livelier.
